Spartans Win Eighth Consecutive Dual, 209.5-68.5, at Baldwin Wallace

he Case Western Reserve University men's swimming & diving team concluded the dual meet portion of the 2014-15 schedule with a 209.5-68.5 victory against Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday at the BW Natatorium.

The Spartans win their eighth straight dual to move to 8-1, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 4-9.

Overall, CWRU won 13 of the 16 events with freshman Oliver Hudgins (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) the only individual double-winner. Hudgins took first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.41) and 100 backstroke (54.71).

In relays, Hudgins swam leadoff for the 200 medley relay (1:41.87) in front of fellow freshmen John Kilbane (Independence, Ohio/St. Edward), Logan Smith (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) and John Seiler (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls). In the final event of the afternoon, an all senior 200 free relay of Eric Haufler (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key), David Wolfson (Austin, Texas/Liberal Arts and Sciences Academy), Nick Pospisil (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) and Caleb Allen (Knoxville, Tenn./Bearden) placed first in 1:33.81.
