17 UAA Divers to Compete at NCAA Regionals This Weekend

17 UAA divers, 10 women and seven men, will compete this weekend at the NCAA Diving Regionals.

Three women's divers each from Carnegie Mellon University, NYU, and University of Rochester will compete in addition to one diver from Emory University.

UAA Diver of the Year Austin Campitelli of NYU will join teammates Kate Donnelly and Ashlie Pankonin at the Northeast-N Regional hosted by Springfield College.

Andie Azofeifa, Machika Kaku, and Winona Li of Carnegie Mellon will be joined by Carrie DeMoulin, Danielle Neu, and Joanna Wallace of Rochester at the Northeast-S Regional hosted by State University of New York at Geneseo.

Kellen Hope of Emory wil compete at the Midwest-South-West Regional hosted by Trinity University.

Seven divers from the Geneseo Regional, six from the Springfield Regional, and four from the Trinity Regional will advance to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The remaining seven qualifiers will come from the regional hosted by University of Chicago.

On the men's side, five of the seven UAA divers will compete at the Central Regional hosted by Chicago: Dean Boures, Tony Restaino, Matt Staab, and Kevin Steffes of the Maroons along with Connor Farrell of Case Western Reserve University.

UAA Diver of the Year Austen Blease and Brian Blum of NYU will compete at SUNY Geneseo. 

Nine divers from the Chicago Regional and five from the Geneseo Regional will advance to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The remaining 10 qualifiers will come from the regionals hosted by Springfield (seven) and Trinity (three).
