Five Spartans Earn Individual CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

Five members of the Case Western Reserve University men's swimming and diving team were recognized as Scholar All-Americans or honorable mentions by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), based on their athletic and academic performances during the 2015-16 campaign.

Senior Connor Farrell, junior Andrew Henning and sophomore Drew Hamiltoneach claimed Scholar All-America honors, while both sophomores Aaron Pangand Logan Smith were honorable mention selections.

To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher (either in the semester of the championship or cumulative) and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.  Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective diving qualifying meets.

Farrell, Henning and Hamilton each earned All-America honorable mentions at the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships, with Farrell placing 14th in the three-meter dive, and Henning and Hamilton each finishing 10th as a part of the 800-yard freestyle relay team.  Pang and Smith each recorded a 'B' cut time in the 200-yard butterfly.

The Spartans finished 33rd at the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships, and went 10-1 in dual meets during the 2015-16 campaign.
