Thomas Meek of Chicago Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Championships

The University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team kicked off the first day of the NCAA Division III Championships by earning All-American status in two events on Wednesday.

Thomas Meek led the charge for the men, as the senior advanced to the final of the 50-yard freestyle with a prelim time of 20.22. The senior then swam a time of 20.23 in the evening session to tie for fourth place, earning All-American honors in the process.

Meek was also part of the All-American 200-yard medley relay alongside freshman Alexander Farrell, senior James Taylor and senior Matthew Veldman. The quartet finished 12th in the final with a mark of 1:30.39.
