Case Western Reserve University junior Drew Hamilton, senior Andrew Henning, junior Oliver Hudgins and sophomore Brody Schmidt were selected to the field of competitors for the 2017 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

The four each earned entry to the field in the 800-yard freestyle relay, after swimming a time of 6:45.24 at the 2017 University Athletic Association Championships to place second in the event. Their time is good for the 15th-best seed time among relays entered in the event at the NCAA Championships.

Last year, Hamilton, Henning and Hudgins were part of the Spartans 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished 10th at the NCAA Championships, earning All-America honorable mention.

Hamilton also received entry to the 500-yard freestyle (seeded 20th with a time of 4:31.78), 400-yard individual medley (seeded 16th with a time of 4:00.10) and 1,650-yard freestyle (seeded 18th with a time of 16:03.26). Other individual entries were awarded to Hudgins in the 200-yard backstroke (seeded 16th with a time of 1:48.79).

The 2017 NCAA Division III Championships will be hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference at the CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas from March 15th – 18th.
