Chicago Excels in Senior Meet Against DePauw and Calvin

The University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team celebrated its outgoing senior class and turned in dominating performances as hosts of a tri-meet with DePauw University and Calvin College on Saturday afternoon.

The Maroons topped DePauw 193-87 and Calvin 205-89.

At the start of Senior Day before the races began, UChicago recognized its three senior men. The senior class includes Kevin KuRolland Lee and Jonathan Simoneau.

Sophomore Alexander Farrell won all four races they competed in – the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Ku was a perfect 3-for-3 with victories in the 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM.

Freshman Reona Yamaguchi was a triple winner in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard medley relay. Freshman Byrne Litschgi tallied wins in the 200-yard backstroke and swam legs on both the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay.
