Judges Split Meet at WPI

Competing at a multiple-dual meet with three other teams, the Brandeis Swimming and Diving squads showed some fine performances. The Judges defeated Babson, 157-122, but fell to WPI, 171-119.

Rookie Richard Selznick (Las Vegas, Nev./Palos Verde)was the only multiple winner, taking both distance freestyle events. He won the 1,000 in 10:07.52 and the 500 in 4:55.81. Also winning races for the men were sophomore Tamir Zitelny (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) who took the 200 backstroke in 2:02.85, and rookie Daniel Wohl (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) in the 200 freestyle in 1:47.68.

The men's second-place finishers were sophomore Daniel Haid (Robbins, N.C. / International School of Lausanne) in the 100 back (55.02), Zitelny in the 200 fly (2:00.34), Wohl in the 200 breast (2:15.91), AND Selznick in the 400 IM (4:20.37).
