Ian Rainey of the New York University men's swimming & diving team was named the CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week, the website announced on Monday, November 6,

Rainey helped lead NYU to a first-place finish at the NYU Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4.

The senior won three events, earning first-place finishes in the 200-yard IM, 400-yard IM and 200-yard butterfly.

This is the first-career national honor for Rainey, who transferred to NYU last season.
