Sophomore diver Stephen Savchik produced two good efforts in his first trip to the NCAA Regional Diving Championships. The events were staged at Ithaca College on the first weekend of March.
He finished eighth on the one-meter board with a score of 427.70 and he was 13th on the three-meter board with a score of 414.95. The top six divers advance to the national championships.
Savchik earned the opportunity to dive at regionals by turning in strong performances on both boards at the University Athletic Association championships in mid-February.
