Sophomore Peyton Wilson and junior Brandon Lum highlighted the final day of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Swim & Dive Championships for Washington University in St. Louis as both Bears captured event titles in their respective events.

The event titles helped the WashU men place third overall in the four-day event with 1,492.5 points overall.

Wilson swam to another school record as he claimed the 200 backstroke record with a time of 1:45.52 as he touched more than three seconds ahead of the runner-up. Lum captured the UAA Championship in the 200 butterfly for the third consecutive season when he finished in 1:47.28. The WashU men totaled four event totals during the UAA Championships.

Wilson also earned all-UAA honors in the 400 freestyle relay with senior Ross Brown, junior Kevin Van Cleave and junior Andrew Pek. The group placed second overall with a time of 3:01.61.

Van Cleave placed second in the 200 breaststroke for all-UAA recognition with a career-best time of 2:01.08. Freshman Alex Poellinger also earned his first all-UAA accolade of his career by placing third in the 1,650 freestyle by narrowly edging his teammate and fellow freshman Jacob Werden with a time of 16:00.49.

Senior diver Ryan Nathenson concluded the championships with another career-best performance posting a 464.6 score in the finals to place sixth overall. Nathenson's prelim diving score also met the NCAA B cut requirement to earn him a spot in the NCAA Regionals.
