Senior Andrew Wilson was named the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Swimmer of the Year after helping Emory University to its first title at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. He set NCAA Division III records in all three individual events he won and swam on two winning relays, which also set NCAA Division III marks. Wilson won the 200-yard individual medley (1:44.18), 100-yard breaststroke (50.94 seconds), and the 200-yard breaststroke (1:50.80). He swam the breaststroke leg of the 200-yard medley relay that won in 1:26.14 and the 400-yard medley that finished in 3:10.51. Wilson became just the fifth person in the world to record a time under 51 seconds in the 100 breaststroke (short course yards) and his time in the 200 breaststroke is tied for the sixth-fastest time in the world.
