The No. 1-ranked Emory men's tennis team closed out a three-match home stand with a Saturday afternoon win over Rhodes College. The Eagles boosted their spring ledger to 8-3 following an 8-1 decision over the Lynx who fell to 12-3.

Emory took early command of the contest, rolling to a 3-0 advantage after sweeping doubles. The No. 1 tandem of junior Scott Rubinstein and sophomore James Spaulding won their third straight match and improved to 6-5 this spring (9-6 overall) following an 8-2 triumph over Albert Vacheron and Daniel Olivier, At second doubles, senior Aman Manji and sophomore Jonathan Jemison, playing together for the first time this year, posted an 8-4 outcome against Sean Hogan and Andrew Morton. Juniors Max Renke and Andrew Harrington earned the others doubles point at No. 3 with an 8-4 decision against Phil Lauture and Ritwik Chatterjee.

Emory continued its momentum into singles, capturing five of the six matches. Jemison won for the eighth time in his last 10 outings, raising his overall record to 14-3, with a 6-3, 6-1, win at No. 2 against Morton. At first singles, Manji breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Vacheron, his 17th win this year against four setbacks (8-3 in the spring). Other singles winners included junior Alec Josepher at No. 4 (6-1, 6-1 vs. Lauture), senior Josh Goodman at No. 5 (6-0, 6-2 at No. 5) and Rubinstein at No. 6 (6-2, 6-0 vs. Olivier).
