The New York University men's track & field team finished day two of competition on Saturday, April 9, at this weekend's Sam Howell Invitational in Lawrenceville, NJ, hosted by Princeton University.

In spite of rain showers, senior Eddie Cruz-Desintonio captured seventh in the 1,500m with a time of 4:12.38. Senior Daniel Rieger and sophomore Robert Desisto paced one another with 10th- and 11th-place finishes. They posted times of 4:15.18 and 4:16.08, respectively.

"Eddie is knocking on the door on one of his better times," said Assistant Coach Erison Hurtault. "When conditions are right, I see him turning some heads."

Junior Caleb Su secured third place with an impressive 11.52 in the 100m dash.

The 800m was represented by sixth-place freshman Daniel Saczyk who clocked a personal-best time of 2:01.22.

"Today was not about times as much as conditioning, but when we do get solid times in this weather, it is hard not to be impressed," Hurtault continued. "Daniel was one of those guys to show us he can run well despite poor conditions. It just goes to show you again, when the weather eventually looks good, we expect good times and good competition."
