Chicago Finishes Fifth at Conclusion of UAA Outdoor Championships

The University of Chicago men's track and field team concluded the two-day University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Championships with two more event titles on Sunday.

Host school Washington University-St. Louis won the men's titles with 161.5 points, while UChicago's men were fifth with 121 points out of the seven conference teams.

On the men's half, UChicago captured two wins and four all-conference honors. Junior Gareth Jones raced to the top of the 5,000-meter field in 15:28.09, while junior Andrew Maneval threw the farthest shot put 15.40 meters to gain the victory.

Senior Ryan Manzuk was runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 54.14. He was also part of the third-place 4x100-meter relay (42.33) alongside sophomore Connor Turkatte, senior Jacob Romeo and junior Jatan Anand.
