NYU's Montilus Brothers Compete at All-Atlantic Regional

A pair of Violets competed at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday, May 17, at SUNY Brockport in Brockport, NY.

Malcolm and Julian Montilus represented the Violets on the final afternoon of the two-day event in Upstate New York.

Malcolm Montilus took part in the 400m sprint and finished in second place out of 18 participants, crossing the finish line in a season-best time of 48.04. 

Younger bother Julian then took part in the 400m hurdles and finished in 54.38 to place fifth among 17 competitors. 

The meet was the final event of the regular season for the Violets, who will wait to see if they have any qualifiers in the upcoming NCAA Championships, which are being held on Thursday-Saturday, May 24-26, in La Crosse, WI.
