NYU Competes at Princeton

The New York University men's track & field team competed at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton University, on Friday, April 6, in Princeton, NJ. 

There was no team scoring at the event, which featured a field filled with Division I teams.

Julian Montilus provided the highlight of the afternoon with a victory in the 400m hurdles. The sophomore completed the race in 55.36, more than one second ahead of second-place Kyle Kulp (University of Maryland Baltimore County).

Malcolm Montilus finished fourth of 22 runners in the 400m sprint. He crossed the finish line in 49.05, just 1.01 seconds behind the winner, Joshua Freeman of Princeton. 

NYU's 4X100m team completed its race in 44.64, a little more than two seconds behind Princeton's first-place squad. 

In the 5,000m run, Max Mudd captured ninth place in a time of 14:52.85. Karn Setya crossed the line in a time of 4:13.14 (34th place) in the 1,500m run.
