Eagles Finish 3rd at Emory Crossplex Invite

The Emory men were the highest-finishing Division III squad, scoring 68 points to finish behind Lipscomb (146 points) and Alabama-Huntsville (85 points).  There were 16 teams competing on the men's side of the meet.

For the second-straight week, senior Edward Mulder turned in one of the top individual performances of the day for the Emory men, winning the mile run with a time of 4:16.63, the 13th-fastest in Division III this season.  He later ran the first leg of the Eagles' sixth-place distance medley relay team, recording a time of 10:49.21 along with junior Ankush Mohile, freshman Jeffrey Chen, and freshman Grant Murphy. 

Sophomore Adam Rabushka recorded a career-best time of 8.60 seconds in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, finishing fifth in the event.  Sophomore Maxwell Hoberman was the Eagles' top finisher in a pair of individual events, finishing eighth in both the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.49 seconds and the long jump with a leap of 6.32 meters.  Hoberman and Rabushka also teamed with freshman Walker Marsh and senior Mike Moserowitz to finish second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:25.50.

Freshman Dennis Kamara added a pair of top finishes by an Eagle on Sunday, finishing 16th in the 200-meter dash (23.32 seconds) and 18th in the 60-meter dash (7.16 seconds), while sophomore Jacob Seigel recorded a personal record in the shot put, finishing in second place with a throw of 12.99 meters.  Other top Emory performances during the meet came from junior Gui Silva in the 800-meter run (fourth place, 1:57.16), senior Ishan Dey in the 5,000-meter run (ninth place, 15:44.66), sophomore Taylor Jarl in the weight throw (fifth place, 12.51 meters), sophomore Young Jin Kim, senior Somon Nader, and junior Louis Mennel in the pole vault (tied for 11th place, 3.73 meters) and Moserowitz in the triple jump (third place, 13.07 meters).
