From University of Chicago Athletics

The University of Chicago men's track and field team finished in eighth place at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational on Friday.

University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse topped the nine-team field with 145 points. UChicago was eighth with 24.5 points.

Freshman hurdler Patrick LeFevre had UChicago's top finish of the day in the 60-meter hurdles. LeFevre barely finished runner-up at the finish line, tying the winner at 8.34 seconds. Senior Semi Ajibola was third in the high jump at 1.96 meters, and sophomore Timofey Karginov was fourth in the 5,000 meters (15:24.57).
