From Emory University Athletics

The Emory University men's track & field team saw three individuals earn All-America distinctions on day two of the 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA.

Senior Maxwell Hoberman and sophomores Max Brown and Daniel Pietsch became the first Emory indoor All-Americans since 2008 and the 12th, 13th and 14th overall in program history.

Pietsch claimed the first All-America certificate of his career, taking second overall in the 400m Dash with a time of 47.97. Pietsch ties the highest ever finish for an Eagle in the indoor 400m dash with his second place showing and becomes just the third Emory University men's track & field member to earn All-America honors in the event along with Chris Williams in 1994 and 1996 and Frederick Linton in 2008.

After finishing ninth at last year's indoor championships, Hoberman earned his first career All-America honor in the triple jump, finishing eighth with a mark of 14.39m. He becomes just the second Eagle ever on the men's team to be named an All-American in the triple jump along with Troy Thompson, who was a three-time All-American in 1995, 1996 and 1997.

Brown also took home his first career All-America honor in the one mile run, placing eighth with a time of a 4:13.44. Brown is the first ever Eagle (men's or women's) to win All-American honors in the indoor one mile event in school history.
