Chicago Snags Top Spot at Windy City Invitational

The University of Chicago men's track and field squad took the team title at the two-day Windy City Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The Maroon men topped the 12-team field with 117.5 points while Valparaiso University was second with 84 points.

On the men's side, the Maroons had four individual victories. Senior Andrew Maneval led the shot put, senior Nick Nielsen captured the mile and junior Nathan Downey was first across the finish line in the 200 meters. Junior Will Ackerman topped the heptathlon by 754 points. The men's 4x400-meter relay also accounted for a first-place finish on the day.
