The New York University men's cross country team finished 20th overall and Dylan Kartek took 20th place individually at the NCAA Division III National Championship, which was held in Hanover, IN, on Saturday, November 23.

Competing in his final collegiate race, Karten ran the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:08.8. He became NYU's first All-American since Zach Maher finished 15th in 2009.

"Dylan put in a tremendous effort," said NYU Head Coach Nick McDonough. "He was up front for the entire race."

As a team, the Violets totaled 521 points, just two behind 19th-place finisher Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College

St. Olaf College (84 points) won the competition over North Central College (86) by just two points.
