On Friday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Awards for the 2013 season on Friday and three members of the University of Rochester men's cross country team were honored.

Seniors John Bernstein, Adam Pacheck and Yuji Wakimoto all met the requirements of compiling a cumulative GPA or 3.30 or greater and finished among the top 25 percent of finishers at their respective regional championships.

The three Yellowjacket seniors were a part of a group of 228 men to earn All-Academic distinction for the 2013 XC season.  That group represents 98 institutions and 35 different conferences.  The UAA ranked second in terms of conference honorees, grabbing 27 spots, only behind the NESCAC and its 31 selections.

The 2013 award is a three-peat for Pacheck as he also was honored in 2011 and 2012.  Bernstein earns his second straight award while all three contributed UR earned the All-Academic Team award for the ninth straight year.  In 2013, UR tied for the sixth highest men's team GPA in Division III.

Bernstein is majoring in Psychology while Pacheck is a Biomedical Engineering major.  Wakimoto is studying Biochemisty at Rochester.
