Tartans Win 32-Team Inter-Regional Rumble

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team finished the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College with 75 points to win the event. Leading the Tartans in the 32-team race was freshman Edward Goebel (Abington, Pa./La Salle College).

Goebel finished the race in eighth place after crossing the finish line in 24:59.9. Junior Ryan Auld (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) was the second to cross the finish line for the Tartans, finishing 2.1 seconds behind Goebel in ninth with a time of 25:02.0.

Senior Curtis Watro (Audubon, Pa./Methacton) was 14th in 25:10.5 while senior Ryan Archer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Vincentian Academy) and sophomore Jared Moore (Beaver Dams, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) placed 21st and 23rd, respectively. Archer posted a time of 25:15.0 and Moore crossed in 25:18.2.

Sophomores Aadi Mhatre (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) and William Mitchell (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) crossed with times of 25:22.2 and 25:22.6 to place 26th and 27th in the field of 276 runners.
