From University of Rochester Athletics

Hunter Phinney finished in the top five percent of all runners at the Inter-Regional Border Battle men's cross country race staged by Rowan University.

This was the first look many teams got at what will be the course for the NCAA Atlantic Regional in early November. Rochester finished 13th out of 42 teams.

Phinney led the way with a clocking of 25:34.3. That placed him 21st out of 394 individuals. Benjamin Martell was 77th in 26:11.6. Dan Allara was UR's third finisher. He was timed in 26:25.8 which put him 98th.

Andrew Faulstich and Ivan Frantz completed the Yellowjacket scorers. Faulstich crossed the finish line in 26:45.2 (132nd) and Frantz got there in 26:49.2 (140th).

The Yellowjacket displacers were Leo Orsini in 26:54.8 (153rd) and Ryley Robinson in 27:03.4 (170th).

On October 27, Rochester heads for Wisconsin and the UAA Championships which will be hosted by the University of Chicago. Two weeks later, UR returns here for the Atlantic Regionals, hoping to secure a spot in the NCAA National Championship Meet in Wisconsin on November 17.
