Coming off the best season of her four year career at Rochester, women's basketball player Loren Wagner was rewarded on Monday by being named 1st Team All-East Region by d3hoops.com for the 2013-14 season.

Wagner (Traverse City, MI/Traverse City West) averaged career highs of 13.8 points per game and 12.6 rebounds per game to lead Rochester in those categories during the season.  Wagner was recently honored with her second All-UAA selection by being named to the conference's first team this year.

The senior also was first on the Yellowjackets in field goals made (139), field goal percentage (55.4%) and free throws made (67).  Wagner ended her UR career 18th in career scoring (820 points) and 7th all-time in rebounding (755).  She is the programs leader in career field goal percentage at 53.8%.

During 2013-14, Wagner ranked 5th in the UAA in scoring, was first in rebounding and double-doubles (16), was 3rd in field goal percentage and sixth in minutes played.  She ranked in the top-25 in NCAA Division III in rebounding, double-doubles and field goal percentage.

On February 2nd at home, Wagner scored a career high 28 points against the University of Chicago before setting a career best pulling down 20 rebounds one week later at Chicago against the Maroons.

The All-Region selection is the first in Wagner's career and is the fourth straight year in which Rochester has had a player selected on the All-East Region First Team.  Ally Zywicki was named to the first team in 2012-13, Jodie Luther in 2011-12 and Melissa Alwardt in 2010-11.
