Summer Kitahara Sets Carnegie Mellon Record at TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate

Sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team set the school record for the lowest two-round score at the final day of the TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Tuesday, March 8.  The two-day, 36-hole event is being held on the Morgan River Course at the Dataw Island Club in Beaufort, S.C.
    
Kitahara fired a 79 on Tuesday to finish with a 159 (80-79) which placed her fifth in a field of 51 golfers.

Carnegie Mellon shot a 686 after carding back-to-back rounds of 343 to pace fourth out of eight teams. Wittenberg University won the event with a 627 (317-310).
    
Freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) recorded rounds of 83 and 86 to finish with a 169 and tied for 11th.  Senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore.) and sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) finished one-stroke apart with 36-hole totals of 181 (91-90) and 182 (94-88), respectively. Sophomore Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) shot a 188 (89-99).

Sophomore Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) entered the tournament as an individual and finished the 36-hole event with a 208 (105-103).
