Tartans Compete at First Day of TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the first day of the TaylorMade-adidas Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Monday, March 7.  The two-day, 36-hole event is being held on the Morgan River Course at the Dataw Island Club in Beaufort, S.C.

Carnegie Mellon is in fourth place out of eight teams following the first 18 holes of play with Wittenberg and Bridgewater tied at the top of the leaderboard after each carding a 317 Monday afternoon.  
    
The Tartans were led by sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) who entered the clubhouse with an 80. Freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) ended play carding an 83.

Sophomore Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) fired a season-best round of 89 while senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore.) and sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) posted rounds of 91 and 94, respectively.

Sophomore Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) entered the tournament as an individual and finished with a 105 on Monday.
