Five Bears Fire Sub-80 Scores as Washington University Leads After Day One

The Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team fired its way to a day one lead at the Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational with a 302 round one score Sunday evening.

The Bears round one score leads a field of seven teams after four members of WashU's lineup finished day one with scores below 80. Rhodes College is second with a score of 313.

Leading the field with an even par-72 was freshman Samantha Haubenstock. Not far behind for the Bears were sophomore Chloe DiPetrillo (76), junior Erin Drolet (76) and freshman Angelica Harris (78). Rounding out the lineup for the Bears was senior Jessica Wibawa (82). Sophomore Hanna Jia also fired a 76 as an individual competitor for the Bears.
