The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed in the first round of the Jekyll Collegiate Invitational on Friday. The Tartans carded a team score of 299 and currently are third in a field comprised of 24 teams following the opening round of the 54-hole event.

How it Happened:
- Sophomore Sriya Mupparaju led the Cardinal and Gray after she carded a season-low round of one-under par 71 and is third individually in a field of 120 golfers.
- Sophomore Kaylin Yeoh ended play on Friday with a two-over par 74.
- Senior Alexis Sudjianto carded a four-over par 76 to open play.
- Junior Denise Pan shot a 78.
- Sophomore Sense Sangkagoon rounded out the Tartans play with an 80.
