From Emory University Athletics

The Emory women's golf team had an impressive first day at the Lynn Schweizer Denison Invitational in Granville, Ohio.

The Eagles shot a combined 291 on Saturday, good for one under par as a team, which was the tournament's best overall team score on the day. Heading into Sunday, the Eagles own sole possession of first place as the only team under 300 strokes. The next closest teams are Centre and Washington, who both shot 306 as a team.

Individually, junior Sharon Mun led the Eagles with a team best, 71, on Saturday. This also puts Mun in a tie for the best individual score of the tournament. Close behind were freshman Derica Chiu and senior Irene Wang, both shooting a 73. Freshman Esther Jung and sophomore Katie Park rounded out the Eagles' score, both finishing with a 74.
