MEQUON, Wis. – The University of Chicago wrestling team had three wrestlers place in the top six in their weight class at the 21st-annual Concordia (Wis.) University Open on Saturday.

Freshman Charlie Banaszak was the top finisher for the Maroons, taking third place at 141 pounds. Banaszak won his third-place match 5-0 and tallied a 7-1 record on the day. Sophomore Steven Franke went 4-3 at 174 pounds and placed sixth in the weight class. Freshman Henry Powell finished with a 3-3 mark and also took sixth place at 149 pounds.

Junior Adam Wyeth (133 pounds) and junior Mario Palmisano (197 pounds) both went 2-2 on the day.
