Anthony Dattolo Added to NYU Staff

From NYU Athletics

Anthony Dattolo has been hired as an assistant coach of the New York University wrestling team. He will primarily assist with the squad's lower weights.

Dattolo comes to NYU after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Wilkes University. A two-time All-American and 2012 NCAA Division III national finalist at 149 pounds, Dattolo is one of the most decorated wrestlers in Wilkes history.

"Anthony has a great deal of experience," said NYU Head Coach Bruce Haberli. "We have a large number of solid wrestlers in the lower weight classes and I am confident he will help bring them to the next level."

Dattolo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Wilkes in 2012. He wrestled four season for the Colonels and won more than 100 matches in his career. A two-time Metropolitian Conference Champion, Dattolo finished in eight place at 149 pounds at the NCAA Championships as a junior before finishing in second as a senior.

"I am excited to join the NYU program," said Dattolo. "I look forward to working with the student-athletes and helping them succeed."
