The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will travel to Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the 2018 NCAA Division III Central Regional Championships on Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th.

Action is slated to begin on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the preliminary round, first round, quarterfinals, and the first three rounds of the consolation brackets all scheduled for the first day. The Regional Championships will resume on Saturday, February 24th with the remainder of the matches taking place during the day.

The NCAA Division III Championships qualifying tournament is a two-day, double-elimination format. The top three placers in each weight class will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Division III Championships from March 9th – 10th at the Cleveland Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Limited to one wrestler per weight class, 10 Spartans are currently scheduled to be attending the meet, including freshman Anand Shah (125 pounds), sophomore Alec Hoover (133 pounds), sophomore Andrew Hoover (141 pounds), freshman Thomas Gallagher (149 pounds), sophomore Andrew Munn (157 pounds), senior Connor Gordon (165 pounds), senior Nick Tommas (174 pounds), senior Nate Tommas (184 pounds), junior Gavin Dersh-Fisher (197 pounds) and junior Brian McNamara (285 pounds).

Along with CWRU and host Wabash, other schools scheduled to participate include Adrian, Alma, Baldwin Wallace, Heidelberg, John Carroll, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, Mount Union, Muskingum, Ohio Northern, Olivet, Otterbein, Thomas More, Trine, Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg.
