Case Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award for 10th-Straight Season

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the 10th-consecutive season, Case Western Reserve University women's soccer was honored for its performance in the classroom with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award. The Spartans checked in with a team grade point average of 3.56.

A total of 593 women's programs across all divisions of NCAA and NAIA soccer earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award with a minimum GPA of 3.00.  

Case Western Reserve was one of 184 colleges and universities to have both its men's and women's teams honored.

Under seventh-year Head Coach Tiffany Crooks, 12 of an eligible 17 Spartans were named to the 2013 University Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Team. Within the UAA, All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300.

Amongst the 12 Spartan honorees from this fall, senior forward/co-captain Leah Levey (Columbus, Ohio/Bexley) was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII Women's Soccer First Team.
