This is Rochester's 13th award for outstanding academics in the last 14 years. The Yellowjackets received their inaugural award in 2000 and have gotten it every year since 2002.

This year, Rochester completed the 2013 season with a 6-6-5 record, including a 1-3-3 mark in UAA conference play.  Overall in the UAA, seven on eight women's school were recognized with the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
