From NYU Athletics

New York University's women's soccer team came back to secure a 3-2 victory over University Athletic Association (UAA) foe Brandeis University on Saturday, November 5, at Waltham, MA, in its final game of the regular season.

Sixteen minutes into the first half, Kelli Keady scored NYU's first goal with an assist from Gabriella Funk

At 34:24, Caroline Swan of the Judges made the equalizing goal off a corner kick.

Knotted 1-1, the Violets ramped up their intensity in the second half, attempting three shots in the first 15 minutes after play resumed. However, at 58:55, it was Brandeis's Juliette Carreiro who found the back of the net to put the hosts on top.

After a yellow card each for NYU and Brandeis, Hunter Hoelscher sent in the Violets' second equalizing goal at 65:56, assisted by Funk.

Just seven minutes later, Hoelscher scored again, this time on an assist from Shannon Watridge

The rest of the game slowed down with only one shot from each team before the final buzzer.

Riley Felsher posted five saves, recording the win in goal for a 7-2-1 record during the regular season.

The win improved NYU's final regular season record to 9-3-5 and 3-3-1 in the UAA, putting the Violets at fourth in the league.
