UChicago Defeats Dominican, Moves to 2-0

University of Chicago's women's soccer program notched its second-straight win to open 2023, defeating Dominican University 1-0 on the road on Sunday.
 
UChicago begins its season 2-0 and with back-to-back shutouts. Stella El-Fishawy scored for the Maroons in the ninth minute on an assist from Maggie Jameson to give UChicago the lead. The Maroons continued to push for a second goal as the match progressed, totaling 12 shots, six on target.
 
A strong UChicago defense held the Stars to just three shots, one in target, in the match. Sophie Pilarski made one save and earned the clean sheet, playing the entirety of the contest.
