WashU Dominates Piedmont in 8-0 Win

The No. 10 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team blanked Piedmont 8-0 on Monday afternoon to wrap up its Kentucky road trip 2-0. The Bears scored four goals in each half en route to the win.
 
WashU scored its first goal seven minutes in as Madeline Allburn scored her first goal of the season on a pass from Kate Flynn. Allburn struck again at the 12:38 mark, netting a pass from Ella Koleno to make it 2-0.
 
Ally Hackett found the back of the net at the 15:06 mark on a pass from Anna Viscovich to put WashU up 3-0.
 
Meryl McKenna scored her second goal of the year in as many games in the 18th minute on passes from Sophie Viscovich and Sarah Nelter, sending WashU into the half up 4-0.
 
Koleno scored the first goal of the second half at the 52:11 mark on a pass from Gaelen Clayton. Clayton now has three assists in two games.
 
Kaci Karl made it a 6-0 game in the 76th minute, scoring her first goal of the season.
 
Kerrigan Ferland netted her first goal of the season as well at the 82:09 mark, putting in a ball from Sam McKibben and Allie Goulding.
 
Madison Foley put the Bears up 8-0 in the 84th minute, scoring her first career goal, on a pass from Goulding.
 
Offensively, the Bears tallied 38 total shots with 16 on goal. On the flip side, WashU's defense held Piedmont to a single shot and none on goal.
 
Goalkeeper Sophia Raudez earned her second blank sheet of the season in 90 minutes of action.
