New York University's women's 200-yard medley relay set a team record on the first day of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday, March 19, in Indianapolis, IN.

The four-day meet is being held at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Natatorium.

The foursome of junior Emily Doerner, freshman Katie Webber, sophomore Krista Traub, and freshman Elise Gibbs qualified for the consolation finals with a time of 145:48 in the morning preliminaries and then finished in 12th place overall, setting a new program-record with a time of 1:45.19 on Wednesday evening.

The same foursome had set the record earlier this season with a time of 1:45.23.

With their finish, the relay squad earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades. The top eight finishers in each event receive All-America honors, while 9-16 take home Honorable Mention.

"The women swam awesome tonight," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "They stepped up and put together a fantastic race. I'm really proud of them."
