Four New York University women's swimmers participated in the evening session of the NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday, March 18, at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, TX.

After the first day of competition, NYU is tied with Amherst College for sixth place of 32 teams with a total of 34 points each. Emory University currently holds first place with 135.5 points.

The 200-yard medley relay team, consisting of senior captain Emily Doerner, sophomore Katie Webber, freshman Serena Yan, and sophomore Elise Gibbs, finished second overall with a time of 1:41.43, earning All-American honors.

This is only the second year that NYU has sent women's relay teams to NCAA Championships.

"I am really impressed with the team's performance today," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "Their times and placements were amazing, and I am really proud of their effort."
