Chicago Breaks Record, Meets NCAA "B"  Cuts at Day Two of Phoenix Fall Classic

The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team broke a pool record and met several NCAA "B' qualifying marks to highlight day two of the Phoenix Fall Classic on Saturday.

The 200-yard medley relays set a new pool record and posted a NCAA B cut. The time of 1:45.86 narrowly edged the pool record by 0.02 seconds. 

The women's 200-yard butterfly also proved successful with three B cuts in the same event by sophomore Abby Erdmann (2:07.29), freshman Sydney Wong (2:07.51) and junior Ciara Hu (2:08.55). Sophomore Alison Wall was a B cut in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.38), as was Khia Kurtenbachin the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.37).
