Eagles Compete at Emory Diving Invitational

The Emory University divers competed in the third annual Emory Diving Invitational on Saturday afternoon from the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center inside the Woodruff Physical Education Center.

The Eagles placed second out of the three teams at the meet with West Florida coming in first and Birmingham Southern in third.

Sophomore Mara Rosenstock had a second place showing in the 1-meter, 11 dives event with a NCAA qualifying score of 411.95. Freshman Emma Watson finished fifth in the event with a score of 379.05 followed by classmate Avery Botansky in seventh at 331.50 and sophomore Natalie Bauer in eighth at 314.50.

In the 3-meter event, Watson led the Eagles with a fifth place showing with a score of 335.90 over 11 dives. Bauer and Botansky both dove six times and posted scores of 184.95 and 177.50, respectively.
