Chicago Finishes 14th at NCAA Championships

The University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the final day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday.

Over the course of the four-day national meet, the Maroons compiled All-American honors in 15 events and set four new schools records. The UChicago men (60.5 points) and women (79 points) both finished in 14th place in the final team standings. Emory University won the women's team title (560 points) and Denison University won the men's team title (455.50 points).

The day's top finish came courtesy of Alison Wall. The junior reached the finals in the 200-yard backstroke and placed eighth in 2:01.49 to earn All-American status. At the evening's conclusion, Wall also earned All-American honors again as part of the 400-yard freestyle relay, which took 16th in 3:28.50. The relay included Wall, junior Maya Scheidl, junior Megan Wall and freshman Hannah Eastman.
