Washington University Takes Illinois Wesleyan Invitational Title

The Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving program earned seven first place finishes to take the team title at the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational Saturday evening. 

In a field of seven teams, the WashU women won seven events en route to scoring 177 points to win the title by 53 points over host IWU.

Freshman Mollie Seidner posted a first place finish in the women's 200 individual medley with a time of 2:15.08. Seidner also teamed up with freshman Stephanie Li, freshman Alex Center and senior Lauren Carlos to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.58. 

Junior Nicole Zanolli swam to victory in the women's 100 butterfly (54.29) and she joined senior Marimac Collins, senior Lindsey Siegel and sophomore Maddie Robinsonto place first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.41). 

Junior Niamh O'Grady claimed victory in both the women's 200 freestyle (1:57.28) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.99). Junior Laura Barber earned first place in the three-meter dive with a 225.35 score.
