Washington University Returns From Break in Convincing Fashion

The Washington University in St. Louis women's swimming and diving team dominated the rescheduled Quad Meet Monday afternoon in the I.E. Millstone Pool after the originally scheduled meet was postponed due to weather.

The women totaled 11 first place finishes while topping Lindenwood (319), Quincy University (305) and McKendree (119).

Junior Alissa Ling totaled two first place finishes individually and was the lead swimmer on the 200 free relay as well (1:42.06) with sophomore Maddie Robinson, junior Nicole Zanolli and senior Lauren Carlos. Ling won the 200 freestyle (1:58.11) and set a new personal best during the 200 individual medley (2:10.76).

The WashU women dominated the 50 butterfly with the top nine times as junior Michelle Murdock posted the winning time of 26.80. Murdock also posted the fastest opening leg for the Bears during the 200 free relay (25.92).
