On Saturday, December 1, the New York University women's swimming & diving team competed on the third and final day of the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.

The Violets finished in second place of five teams with 2,180 points. Kenyon was victorious with a final total of 2,721.5 points.

In the one-meter dive, Kelly Ryser (444.85) took second while Nina Fink (441.85) finished third.

"I'm so pleased with the way the athletes competed over the weekend," said Diving Coach Todd Kolean. "We competed many new dives and, for this point in the season, it was a great way to finish the semester."

Honore Collins won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:02.86.

"Collins had another great day. She won the 200-yard butterfly, set a team record and achieved an NCAA cut," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "She also led off the 400-yard freestyle relay with another team record."

The Violets performed exceptionally well in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Rachel Reistroffer (16:56.76), Ashley Brodnick (17:07.27), Jaime Robinson (17:10.01), and Allison Kapostasy (17:11.27) captured first, second, third, and fourth places, respectively.

"The women had an outstanding session to cap off a great meet!" said Miele. "Our women's distance group killed it today with seven women getting NCAA cuts in the mile."
