NYU Remains in Second Place at Total Performance Invitational

On Friday, November 30, the New York University wen's swimming & diving team competed on the second day of the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier, OH.

The Violets are currently in second place of five teams with 1,341 points. They trail host Kenyon College (1,792.5).

Honore Collins was first in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:23.30. In the 100-yard butterfly, Terra Matsushima (55.17) captured a second-place finish. Rachel Reistroffer had a time of 1:52.64 to take fourth in the 200-yard freestyle. 

"Honore was fantastic today," said Head Coach Trevor Miele. "She set team records in the 400-yard individual medley and in the leadoff 200 of  our 800-yard freestyle relay."

The NYU A team consisting of Collins, Sydney Catron, Grace Wakabayashi, and Reistroffer, took second in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:33.99).

In diving, Nina Fink finished second in the three-meter eventwith a score of 453.80. 

"There was some great swimming by our women tonight. They posted some fast times and a lot of NCAA cuts," Miele said. "They are getting fast as the meet is going on and I'm excited to see them wrap it up tomorrow."
