Freshman Rebecca Ho and senior Corinne Rauck were among 20 doubles teams named to the 2014 Division III Women's Tennis All-America Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Ho and Rauck finished the season ranked No. 7 in the Division III ITA Doubles Rankings, and earned a No. 1 ranking in the Central Region. Ho and Rauck are just the 10th and 11th All-Americans in Washington U. women's tennis history. They are the third doubles team to earn the honor, joining Rathi Mani and Kat Copiozo (2002), and Mani and Lauren Zwick (2004). The No. 7 ranking for Ho and Rauck is the second-highest doubles ranking in school history, behind Mani and Copiozo's No. 2 finish in 2002. It marks the third straight year that Rauck has been ranked in the top-25 in doubles to end the season, after finishing 13th in 2012 and 24th in 2013 with Kate Klein.
Ho and Rauck earned second-team all-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors at No. 1 doubles and finished the season with a 12-5 record. The duo was among the 16 doubles teams selected for the NCAA Individual Championships, but dropped a 6-3, 6-3 loss in the opening round against the eventual National Champion team of Jordan Brewer and Gabby Devlin of Amherst College.
Sophomore Jamie Silverberg also finished the season ranked 27th in the ITA Singles Rankings, and No. 6 in the Central Region. She is the 21st singles player in school history to earn a national ranking, and just the ninth to finish in the top-30. Silverberg posted an 18-11 record while playing No. 1 singles this season, and lost to third-seeded Brewer of Amherst in the opening round of the NCAA Individual Championships.
Washington University concluded the season with a 19-6 record overall, the most wins for the program since finishing 20-5 in the 2003-04 season. The Bears were ranked No. 8 in the final Division III poll and No. 1 in the Central Region after making the second appearance in a row at the NCAA Quarterfinals.
