From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

The Case Western Reserve University Spartans opened their 2015-16 season on Friday at the Oberlin College Invitational in Oberlin, Ohio, picking up three singles victories during the first day of competition at the tournament.

Leading the way for the Spartans was sophomore Nithya Kanagasegar, who defeated Denison University's Taylor Hawkins in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.  Adding wins were junior Jennifer Lowe, 6-2, 7-6 (3) over Allegheny College's Andrea Bush, and sophomore Peyton Young, 6-0, 6-0 over CC Christian.
