The University of Chicago women's tennis team finished up the three-day Bradley University Invitational with a singles title in the A Flight on Sunday.
UChicago competed against six NCAA Division I teams on the weekend, including Bradley, Chicago State University, Illinois State University, Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Purdue University and Western Illinois University.
The A Flight singles final pitted two UChicago teammates against each other as No. 1 seed freshman Rachel Kim took on No. 2 seed sophomore Ariana Iranpour. Kim swept the first set 6-0, but Iranpour rallied back to win the next two sets 6-2 and 10-4 in the deciding super tiebreak.
Freshman Adrienne Travis reached the C Flight singles consolation final, where she picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win.
In doubles, two Maroon pairs also came away with consolation final wins. Kim and sophomore Courtney Warren won the A Flight doubles consolation 8-7 (7-5) while junior Tiffany Chen and senior Lucy Tang dominated the B Flight doubles consolation 8-1.
